Terms and Conditions

Fellow Lands Tales is a UK-based sole trader business selling personalised children's bedtime audiobooks. You can reach us any time at support@mytinytales.co.uk. We normally reply within two working days.

You must be 18 or over to create an account and buy a pack. If a story is being made for a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian, or that you have their parent or guardian's permission to use the child's first name.

• One credit creates one personalised story: the written tale, its cover art and the narrated audiobook.
• Credits never expire. Buy once and use them whenever you like.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred between accounts, except through a gift code we issue.
• A credit is spent when a story is successfully created. If generation fails, the credit is returned to your balance automatically.

Gift packs produce a single-use code that we email to you. Each code can be redeemed once, by one account, and adds the stated credits to that account. Codes do not expire. Keep your code safe — we cannot replace a code that has already been redeemed by someone else.

Stories are written and narrated automatically to your chosen name, age band, world, lesson and character traits. Every story is unique, so two stories made from the same choices will not be identical, and we cannot guarantee a specific plot, wording, length to the second, or voice performance. We do check each story for length, safety and quality before it reaches you, and we will happily re-generate anything that misses the mark.

Your story is yours to enjoy at home. We grant you a personal, non-commercial, worldwide licence to keep it, play it and share it within your household or as a gift to the family it was made for.

You may not:

• Sell, resell, licence or distribute the story or its audio.
• Broadcast it publicly or upload it to any public or shared platform.
• Use it to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine learning system.
• Remove or alter our name or branding from the recording.

Your private listening link is exactly that — private. Please do not publish it. We may reset a link that has been shared publicly.

Everything on the Fellow Lands Tales website — our name, logos, branding, artwork, text, software, audio samples and underlying technology — is owned by Fellow Lands Tales or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

Each personalised story we create for you — its written text, cover art and narrated audio — is also owned by Fellow Lands Tales. When you buy a story, we grant you the personal, non-commercial household licence described in section 6. You do not acquire ownership, copyright or any right to commercialise the story or any part of it.

You may not, without our written permission:

• Copy, reproduce, modify, adapt or create derivative works from any story or site content.
• Distribute, publicly perform, broadcast or stream the story or audio outside your household.
• Sell, licence or otherwise monetise any story, cover image or audio file.
• Use our branding, names or logos except to enjoy the story you have bought.

If we discover unauthorised copying, public sharing or commercial use, we may remove the public link, suspend the account involved and take any other steps we consider necessary to protect our rights.

Please only enter a real first name and details you are happy for us to use. Do not enter offensive names, real people's full names without permission, celebrity names, brand names or characters owned by someone else. We may decline or remove any story that breaches this, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly misuse the service.

All prices are shown in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to or shown separately on your purchase. Payment is taken securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Prices can change, but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that purchase.

Because each story is generated instantly and personally for you, refunds work a little differently. Please read our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We aim to keep Fellow Lands Tales running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may update, pause or withdraw features. If we ever close the service, we will give you reasonable notice and time to save your stories.

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, or for business losses. Our total liability for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here, with its date, is the one that applies. Changes never apply retrospectively to a purchase you have already made.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
