• We never ask for a photo of your child, and none is uploaded or stored.
• We use only a child's first name or nickname, age band, the chosen lesson and the parent’s email — no surname, address or date of birth.
• We never sell or rent your details. Contextual adverts may appear only with the free Bramble series.
• We only send marketing emails if you tick the optional box yourself; it is always unticked to begin with, and we never build remarketing audiences from website visitors.
• Use Delete this story on its private page, or email support@mytinytales.co.uk to request deletion of a story or account.

• Your contact details: the parent's email address, used to complete checkout and send the order confirmation and private story link. An account is not required for a personalised story. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
• Your Little Lesson choices: the child's first name or nickname, age band and chosen lesson. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
• The finished story: its approved text, five illustrations and fixed-cast AI narration, held behind a private link.
• Your orders: what you bought, the amount, the currency and the reference Stripe gives the payment. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles the payment itself.
• Your private story link: a unique token so the finished text, cover and audio can be opened without being listed publicly.
• Support messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email, so we can reply. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
• Basic technical logs kept by our hosting to keep the site secure and working.

The customer is always an adult. A child never signs in or gives us information directly. We hold only the first name or nickname, age band and lesson selected by the parent or guardian, together with the resulting story. A nickname works just as well as a real name.

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process only the information needed for their role and under their own contractual and legal safeguards:

• Payment processor — takes payment and holds the billing details you give at checkout.
• Hosting, database and file-storage provider — runs the site and stores your audio.
• Voice-narration partner — records each character’s approved lines using the fixed Hollow Wood AI cast.
• Email delivery service — sends order confirmations, story-ready notices and account emails.
• Google — provides Ads conversion measurement when optional measurement cookies are accepted and may provide child-directed contextual AdSense adverts only on free Bramble chapters and free Little Lessons.

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by the safeguards required under UK data protection law. We do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.

Google Ads conversion measurement helps us understand whether an advert led to a purchase when optional measurement cookies are accepted. Google AdSense may show contextual adverts only on the free Bramble pages; those requests are tagged for child-directed treatment. We do not use Google Analytics. We do not permit personalised advertising, create remarketing lists, or send a child's name or story details to Google. Purchase measurement may include the fact that an order occurred, its value and its order reference.

A personalised story and the child data used to make it stay with us until the customer asks for deletion, so the private listening page keeps working. The private page includes a “Delete this story” control. After confirmation through the parent’s email, we remove its text, scene audio, illustrations associated with that private copy, cached copies and narration history where the provider permits API deletion. Necessary payment, consent and tax records are kept for six years without the child’s name or story content.

You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Just email support@mytinytales.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Necessary storage supports security, consent choices, sign-in where used and checkout. Optional measurement storage supports Google Ads conversion measurement. Google AdSense may use storage when serving child-directed contextual adverts on free Bramble chapters and free Little Lessons. We do not use Google Analytics. Advertising personalisation and remarketing remain disabled. You can accept or reject optional storage at any time using the banner or Cookie settings in the footer.
